Bitter melon 1 liter bottle
Bitter melon, the mega health fruit as a ready-made puree in a bottle.
The name of this fruit is curious, because bitter melon is not a melon. The official name is sopropo (or in Latin: Momordica charantia) and the fruit resembles a cucumber with warts.
The taste is indeed bitter, but much can be done about that. Especially when the bitter melon as a puree is mixed with water and unsweetened syrup, or in a smoothie.

Daily dose of bitter melon
From the bottle. Initial dose 100 ml 1x daily. Dissolve with water or unsweetened syrup / fruit juice. In the morning on an empty stomach. Preferably half an hour before breakfast. If you are taking medication, take the bitter melon separately, 1 hour apart.
As maintenance and as a health dose: 50 ml per day.
The taste takes some getting used to in the beginning. Our bitter melon puree has been stripped of the most bitter taste due to our processing processes. The drink will therefore become fairly ‘fresh’ in due course. If the taste continues to disappoint, you can make unsweetened syrup or a smoothie. Then the bitter melon puree becomes drinkable.
Warning:
Do not take during pregnancy and or breastfeeding. May cause diarrhea or cramps (reduce the dose by half). For headaches: halve the dose or take every other day. Always consult your doctor first.
